MWLKA Code of Conduct

1. Consent Is Foundational

MWLKA is grounded in a culture of consent. By entering the event space, you acknowledge consent to participate in the environment. Consent must always be enthusiastic, ongoing, and respected. Anyone may withdraw consent at any time, for any reason, and that choice must be honored without question.

2. Education and Emotional Safety

MWLKA offers a wide range of educational classes throughout the weekend. Some sessions may include sensitive or potentially triggering topics. We have listed known triggers whenever possible, though some may be missed. If you find yourself in a class that becomes triggering or uncomfortable, you are welcome to leave the room at any time. Your emotional well‑being comes first, and no one will judge you for taking care of yourself.

3. Social Spaces and Community Engagement

In addition to classes, MWLKA hosts several social events, some of which may be themed. These gatherings are designed to help attendees connect, build community, and enjoy the weekend in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

4. Support for New Attendees

If you are new to contests or leather events, we encourage you to attend the Thursday 6:30 PM class, which covers what to expect throughout the weekend. This session is especially helpful for first‑time attendees who want to feel more comfortable navigating the event.

5. Reporting Concerns

Your safety and well‑being are our top priorities. If at any time during the event you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or have a concern, please go to the registration table and ask for the Independent Observer or a member of the event‑space staff. We are here to support you and ensure you have a positive experience.

6. Respect for All Attendees

MWLKA is committed to creating an inclusive, affirming environment for all identities within the LGBTQIA+ and Leather communities. Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. We expect all attendees to treat one another with dignity and respect.
